SEAT BELT INTERLOCK OPTIONS

The lift truck may be equipped with one of four options which requires
the operator to be seated with the seat belt fastened prior to primary
functionalty being enabled.
Option 1 - Seat Belt / Transmission and Mast Interlock
If the seat belt is not fastened, the transmission will return to neutral and
the hydraulic functions will be locked out.
NOTE:
Contact your supervisor to see if your lift truck is equipped with this
option.
Option 2 - Seat Belt / Transmission, Mast and Engine Starter Interlock
The engine starter cannot be engaged without the seat belt fastened.
NOTE:
Refer to page 55 for engine restarting instructions.
Option 3 - Seat Belt / Transmission and Mast Interlock with Engine
Shutdown
If the seat belt is unfastened with the engine running, a shutdown timer
will activate a warning to the operator. After thrity (30) seconds, if the
seat belt is still unfastened, the engine will shut down.

Option 4 - Seat Belt / Transmission, Mast and Engine Starter Interlock
with Engine Shutdown
If the seat belt is unfastened the engine starter cannot be engaged, or
if the engine is running, a shutdown timer will activate a warning to the
operator. After thirty (30) seconds, if the seat belt is still unfastened, the
engine will shut down.
