CAUTION
• For replacement of the double tires, do not install the tires in
the incorrect direction of the inner and outer rim. The inner
rim has a conical bearing surface on one side and the outer
rim has it on both sides. If the double tires are installed in
the incorrect direction or the wheel nuts are attached in the
wrong direction, the nuts may loosen easily and may cause
bolts to break and the wheel to come off.
10. Start the engine and remove the wood blocks from the underside of
the frame.
11. Lower the lift truck slowly by tilting the mast fully backward.
Remove the wood blocks from under the mast and remove the
chocks.
12. Tighten the wheel nuts to the specified torque in a crisscross
fashion (refer to page 105).
13. Pneumatic: Adjust the tire pressue to the value specified (refer to
page 100.)
14. After replacing a tire, drive the lift truck and check the tightening
torque of each wheel nut again.

Rear (Steer) Tire:

WARNING
• Do not remove the wheels unless you are familiar with the
procedure. For wheel replacement, contact your Local
Authorized Dealer.
NOTE:
To replace a cushion (press-on) tire, contact properly trained personnel,
your Local Authorized Dealer.
1. Place the lift truck on a level and solid surface.
2. Apply the parking brake and place chocks behind the front wheels
to prevent movement of the lift truck.
3. Place the jack under the side frame of the lift truck. Jack the truck
until the rear tire is raised just off the floor. Place a wooden block
under the truck side frame for additional support.

• Do not get under or ride on the lift truck when it is jacked up.
Doing so could lead to a serious accident, including death in
the case the jack comes off accidentally.
• Use a jack with a capacity of 4.0
tons or more.
4. Pneumatic: Loosen the wheel nuts
one or two turns each by turning it
counterclockwise.

• Do not remove wheel nuts until the rear tires are raised off
the ground.
