A/D unit

The analogue to digital (A/D) unit is the device for converting the analogue values from the load cell (actual
strain gauge bridge voltage) to a digital signal and transmitting these values (via RS232 serial) to the main
board.
There is no setting or adjusting points on the board for weighing, all weighing settings are controlled within
the 700 console software.
The metrological settings are stored on this board (not the hard drive).
To gain entry to the A/D settings within the service menu, it is necessary to move the dip switch (no.1) to
the off position. – see following page for position of this.
There are LED's on the board which are useful when carrying out any fault diagnostics, - see the fault find-
ing chapter for details on this
