Lower Comms Pod

Replacement Procedure
1 . Remove the labels from the Comms Pod Cover

Cover and Seal

2 . Slide the Speaker
(if fitted) from the retainer in the rear of the Comms Pod Cover and disconnect from the Services Board (J11) .
Remove the Pod Cover .
3 . Disconnect the Nursecall Connector (J5), Nursecall Cable Assembly (J6), red Ethernet Cable (J3) and the Services Ethernet Cable
Assembly (J1) from the Ethernet Isolation Board
4 . Remove the two Screws
Ethernet Isolation Board . Remove the Ethernet Isolation Board .
5 . Disconnect the RS232 Cable Assembly
6 . Remove the RJ45 Plate Connector
7 . Remove the Nurse Call Connector Assembly
8 . Remove the two Washers, Nuts and Standoffs
9 . Remove the RS232 Cable Assembly .
10 . Reassemble in reverse order .
Refitting Note:
• Ensure that the RJ45 connectors are pushed firmly into the connector plate .
• Apply Loctite 243 to the threaded end of the Standoffs
• Ensure that the Nurse Call Connector is in the correct orientation .
• Torque screws to 45cNm
