[QUICK SET] key
QUICK SET
Pressing this key enters the quick setup mode. In this mode, you can directly
select the setting items shown in the status indication area on the Home screen
(see page 74 for details).
To cancel the quick setup mode, press the [EXIT] key.

[TIME / TC SET] key
TIME
This key has primary (unSHIFTed) and secondary (SHIFTed) functions.
• When unSHIFTed:
Selects the time display mode on the display from ABS, LTC, TC IN and GEN (see
TC SET
page 56).
• When SHIFTed:
Brings up the TC SETUP menu screen, on which you can make the necessary
settings for recording and playing back time code (see page 174).
To exit the TC SETUP menu, press the [EXIT] key.

[FILE SEL / DRV, PAT] key
FILE SEL
This key has primary (unSHIFTed) and secondary (SHIFTed) functions.
• When unSHIFTed:
Brings up the screen for selecting an audio file from the files recorded on the
DRV,PAT.
current disk (or a hard disk partition) (see page 96). You can select a file by
highlighting the desired file using the [MENU] dial and pressing the
[ENTER/YES] key.
• When SHIFTed:
Brings up the screen for selecting the active drive for recording/playback (see
page 84). To exit the mode, press the [EXIT] key.

[LIGHT / CONTRAST] key
LIGHT
This key has primary (unSHIFTed) and secondary (SHIFTed) functions.
• When unSHIFTed:
Turns on or off the backlight of the display (see page 30).
CONTRAST
Pressing this key turns on the backlight of the display, which is automatically
turned off after three seconds. If you keep holding down this key for more than
three seconds, the backlight keeps on lighting until you press this key again.
• When SHIFTed:
By pressing this key, you can bring up the screen for adjusting the display
contrast using the [MENU] dial (see page 30).
After adjusting the contrast, pressing the [ENTER/YES] key confirms the setting.
<Example of a key with a SHIFTed function>
For example, the [LIGHT/CONTRAST] key as shown on the left
LIGHT
has the secondary (SHIFTed) function which is labeled under
the key. When "unSHIFTed", pressing this key turn on the back-
light of the display. When "SHIFTed", pressing this key adjusts

the display contrast.
