Changing coolant
Danger of scalding
due to hot coolant getting into contact with
skin or eyes.
• Only open the cooler cap after the engine
has cooled down.
Park the machine on level ground.
Switch off the engine and allow the cooling
system to cool down.
Remove the cooler cap (44/1).
Remove the rear maintenance cover.
Unscrew the water-drain plug (45/1) on the drain
hose (45/2) and drain coolant.
Collect the coolant and dispose of according to
regulations.
If necessary, flush the cooling system with clean
water.
Close the drain hose using the drain plug.
Re-install the rear maintenance cover.
Fill the cooling system with coolant (
close the cap.
Start the engine and bring to operating
temperature; turn off the engine and allow to cool.

• Only open the cooler cap after the engine
has cooled down.
Remove the cap (44/1) and top up coolant if
required. With the engine cooled down, the
compensation tank should be half full.
