3.5.10 Channel Status Struct Bit Definition
The structure definition for each 'Ch n Status' in the Input Assembly table is
described below.
Each channel status struct is only one byte. Two channel status structs are stored
in each input word. The low byte (bits 0-7) of each channel status word is for the
first channel; the high byte (bits 8-15) is for the second channel. For example,
Input 23 word bits 0-7 represent channel 14 and bits 8–15 represent channel 15.
Unused bits are 0.
