Regarding long beats the program does not make difference between beat widths, but
indicates in all three cases that there is some change at the stimulus source (for example sinus
arrhythmia or escape beat).
Possible events belonging to different classes
 Wide, extra wide rhythm beats:
Left bundle branch block beat
Right bundle branch block beat
Left or right bundle branch block beat
Fusion of ventricular and normal beat
Ventricular escape beat
 Wide, extra wide early beats:
Aberrated atrial premature beat
Premature ventricular contraction
R on T
 Wide, extra wide long beats:
Left or right bundle branch block beat
Ventricular escape beat
 Premature, narrow beat:
Nodal /junctional/ premature beat
Atrial premature contraction
Premature or ectopic supraventricular beat
 Narrow, long beat:
Nodal /junctional/ escape beat
Supraventricular escape beat
 Rhythmic, narrow QRS:
Sinus rhythm, normal beat
During program operation, beside the continuous data acquisition, in case of the previously
listed abnormal events the device prints a 4-second long curve, positioned in a way that the
event appears in the middle of the curve section. In the end of the program the events are
summarized tabulated and graphically.
Warning!
The measurement result is not stored, only the printout documents the measurement!
The device turns the pre-start option on when starting rhythm analysis!

9.3.1. Starting the program

Mind the followings, before starting the program:
 In case of this examination, usually there is no need for chest leads, so it is advisable to
connect them shorted to the N-lead. When using chest electrodes the unstable chest
electrode contact may cause problems during several-minute (5-10 minutes)
examinations, making the signal noisy, automatic blocking might be caused.
