Transportation and installation

1. Remove the accessories box and packaging materi-
al from the transport crate.
2. Remove the conveyor belt.
3. Remove the sidewalls from the transport crate.
i
Carefully lift the EPS 118 out of the box, and
remove the Styrofoam plate on the bottom. The
approximate weight of the device is 64 kg, for this
purpose, two sets of hands are needed to lift the

EPS 118.

4. Carefully lift the EPS 118 out of the box with two
people and remove the Styrofoam plate on the bot-
tom.
5. Place the EPS 118 on a steady and level workbench
(600 mm x 600 mm).
i
The maintenance unit is equipped with an automa-
tic condensate drain. When a certain quantity of
condensate is reached, the float will automatically
open the valve and the condensate will be drained
under pressure. To avoid draining into the work-
shop environment, the condensate being drained
can be collected in a collecting container using a
hose (not included in the scope of delivery).
6. Plug the hose into the connector of the drain valve
of the maintenance unit. Place the other end in the
collecting container.
i
The baseplate of the EPS 118 is sealed all around
and can hold the entire capacity of the test oil tank
in case of internal leakage. In case of leakage, use
a hose to collect the test oil in a suitable collecting
container and dispose of it properly.
7. Connect the hose to the connector (Fig. 28, item 1)
of the baseplate. Place the other end in the collec-
ting container.
!
Check the collecting container
daily to detect any leakage in the EPS 118.
i
The EPS 118 must be horizontally positioned to
allow the test oil in the oil collecting trough of the
EPS 118 to drain through the hose.
