AUX RELAY 1(2) CONFIG
The MM3 Motor Manager 3 has two auxiliary programmable output relays. These two
outputs can be assigned any of the functions listed below. Once a function has been
assigned to one of the auxiliary relays it cannot be assigned to the other with the
exception of the serial control function which can be set to both auxiliary relays.

The auxiliary relay configuration settings are programmed as follows:
AUX RELAY 1 FUNCTION: The dual form-C auxiliary relay 1 can be configured to
activate on various conditions as described below:
• "SERIAL CONTROL": Auxiliary relay 1 can be energized or de-energized via the serial
port.
• "TRIPS": Auxiliary relay 1 will be energized when the MM3 Motor Manager 3 is
tripped. Resetting the MM3 Motor Manager 3 will de-energize auxiliary relay 1.
• "ALARMS": Auxiliary relay 1 will be energized while any alarm is present.
• "PRE CONTACTOR A": Auxiliary relay 1 will energize when the MM3 Motor Manager 3
receives a start command. The contactor A relay will start the motor after the
delay specified in the

• "PRE CONTACTOR B": Auxiliary relay 1 will energize when the MM3 Motor Manager 3
receives a start B command. The contactor B relay will start the motor after the
delay specified in the

and duty/standby starter types only.
