NOTICE If the use of an autosampler is selected for the Get Ready
procedure, the location of the solutions necessary for generation of a
performance report, but also for autotuning and mass calibration have
to be provided by the user. For all steps carried out during the Get
Ready procedure, the respective reports (performance report and
autotune report) are generated and saved in their assigned file location.
They can be accessed via Instrument Control.
After the plasma was automatically started, all following steps can be
observed in the Get Ready panel. The STD mode is always the first
mode to be checked in the procedure.
If an autosampler is installed: after rinsing of the probe, the
autosampler moves automatically to the vial containing the solution
for running the performance report.
Within the performance report, several criteria are defined (for
example, mass calibration, sensitivity, oxide rate) that have to be
passed to assure that the instrument is working properly.
If the performance report fails, appropriate means for recovering
performance are triggered. For example, if the test for mass
calibration did not reveal the correct locations of the peaks or the
peak width is out of its normal range, a mass calibration is
conducted.
If the sensitivity test has been failed, a source autotune procedure is
triggered.
