    Load Rack into ID Before you load the rack into the ID Scribe, make sure that the carriage Scribe Machine is in the upper left corner of the travel space. To prevent errors and jams, we recommend that you not move the carriage by hand.

    Printing Labware How to Load Labware Once the ID Scribe is in the rest position, you can load the filled rack of tubes into the ID Scribe. Line up the hole on the left side of the rack with the left post on the base of the printing area. Push the rack down while at the same time line up the slot on the right side of the rack with the slightly smaller post on the right side of the base (Figs 2.4 and 2.5).

    After your tubes have been loaded into the rack, you will need to load the rack into the ID Scribe. There are two pins in the base of the ID Scribe. The left pin is a little larger than the right pin. This prevents the rack from being loaded in the incorrect orientation.
