Inserting the Extraction Lens

To clean the extraction lens
1. Place the lens cone in 10% nitric acid in an ultrasonic bath for
15 minutes.
2. Rinse thoroughly with deionized water.
3. Sonicate the lens for 5 minutes with deionized water.
4. Dry it carefully with a non-fiber shedding laboratory wipe or leave it
to air dry.

To insert the extraction lens
1. Reassemble the extraction lens, the extraction lens holder and the
spring washer.
2. Insert the extraction lens assembly in the housing, see
Be careful not to tilt the assembly.
3. Turn the extraction lens clockwise to fix it to the extraction lens
housing.
