2.2 Displays in the Viewfinder

Side Mask Function

When the camera output aspect ratio is set to 16:9, the picture on the viewfinder is
displayed with a 16:9 aspect ratio. In consideration of converting to a 4:3 picture, the
contrast of the picture outside the frame marker area can be adjusted. The side
mask is displayed when the frame marker is set to the
following ratio:
- With 16:9 mode : 4:3, 13:9, 14:9, 15:9
- With 4:3 mode : 13:9, 14:9, 15:9, 16:9

Display Mode

The display mode sets the markers and characters to be displayed in the viewfinder.
