If the "Oce sx1481 Network Scanner" is also selected, the pop window
message "Please select sx1481 Printer Port" appears. Click [OK] and
enter the machine's IP address for the network scanner, then click [Next].
NOTE
• First, the window shows the default value, "192.168.1.10". Delete
it and enter a new one.
• The IP address entered here is used for creating the lpr port for
printers or as the address for performing network scanning. Be
sure that the IP address entered here matches the address on the
machine (see "Assigning IP address" on

Confirm the displayed contents and click [Next].

Restart the PC to finish installation.

The print port is set for "FILE" just after the Océ sx1481 PCL printer driver
has been installed. Therefore, you need to change the port according to the
following steps (see "Configuring the network printer port" below).

2.5.1 Configuring the network printer port

NOTE
You need to log on as an administrator to configure the network printer
port.

Open the "Printers" folder.
• In Windows 2000, click [Start] g "Settings" g "Printers".
• In Windows XP Home Edition, click [Start] g "Control Panel" g "Print-
ers and Other Hardware" g "Printers and Faxes".
• In Windows XP Professional and Windows Server 2003, click [Start] g
"Printers and Faxes".
• In Windows Vista / Server 2008, click [Start] g "Control Panel" g
"Hardware and Sound" g "Printers".
• In Windows 7, click [Start] g "Control Panel" g "Hardware and Sound"
g "Devices and Printers".

Right-click on the Océ sx1481 PCL printer icon and select "Properties"
from the pop-up menu. In Windows 7, select "Printer propaerties".
NOTE
For Windows 7 / Vista / Server 2008 users
If you logged on as a standard user (limited user), you need to use
"Run as administrator" command to change the printer properties.
To change the printer properties using administrator account:
1. Right-click the printer, select "Run as administrator", and click
"Properties".
2. Select the account that you want to use, and then enter the pass-
word. Click [OK].
