Setting Network Information
The LT160 tape library has a remote panel function.
When the remote panel is used, general-purpose browsers can manage the tape library
from anywhere on the network.
Note:
Recommended browsers are Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 to 6.0 and Netscape
Navigator 4.7 to 4.78.

If these functions are to be used, network information must be set. Set network
information as follows:
1) Select the [Network] button from the SETUP menu.
2) For IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway, select the numeric keypad icon and use

Specify when the Move Medium command should issue a
completion report: When mounting on (insertion into) the drive
is complete or when the drive is ready.
NetWorker does not support the Fast Load function.
Be sure to specify Disable (default).
When NetBackup is used, specifying Enable is recommended,
since NetBackup supports the Fast Load function.

If switch zoning is not performed when the library management
function of the backup software also exists in a SAN system,
setting is required. Switch zoning is recommended.

E-mail send function
If the tape library or drive detects a hardware error, error information is reported by
e-mail.
