This chapter provides examples of Fibre Channel interface connections and explains how
to set the host interface and drive interface required for Fibre Channel connection. The
chapter also explains how to zone the Fibre Channel switch.

Types of Connection

The LT160 tape library and server can be connected in different ways through the Fibre
Channel (FC) interface. Use the correct kind of connection for the operating mode.
Note:
Backup software options are required for some types of connection. Refer to the manual
for the applicable type of backup software for more information.
