# Target binding definition
# fcp-bind-target binds a specific instance to a target ID.
# You can use defined alias in "alias" property for the WWN.

Instance name
4) Use the following command to check whether the information set in
4-10
c) fcp-bind-target definition
Associate a target ID and WWPN as shown below.
Target ID
WWPN or alias name
For the instance name plus target ID, enter an instance name and target ID
in succession. The instance name is an adapter ID consisting of the driver
name (fjpfca) and instance number as shown above.
The target ID corresponds to the target property in /kernel/drv/st.conf. Use
a decimal number suffixed with "t" to define the target ID.
For the WWPN or alias name, specify the WWPN of the target device to be
connected to the adapter. This WWPN is indicated by the instance name or
alias that was set in a) in 3).
Notes:
1.
Use a colon (:) to link the instance name plus target ID and the WWPN or
alias name. Also enclose the instance name plus target ID and the WWPN
or alias name in double quotation marks (").
2.
When more than one fcp-bind-target is defined, use a comma (,) to separate
each "instance name plus target ID:WWPN or alias."
3.
Be sure to end the definition with a semicolon (;).
4.
Perform binding in ascending order of drives starting with drive #0 and
instance numbers starting with the smallest number (numbers added to
instance names).
/kernel/drv/fjpfca.conf is correct.
# /usr/sbin/FJSVpfca/chk_conf
If the information is correct, "/kernel/drv/fjpfca.conf seems to be correct" is
displayed. If there is a problem, the applicable message is displayed.
