# Port type definition
# The port type definition sets the port mode for a specific instance.

b) Port definition
Use an instance (for each adapter) to define the type of connection topology.
"fjpfca0:nport",
"fjpfca1:nport",
"fjpfca2:nport",
"fjpfca3:nport";
"fjpfca0:nport",
"fjpfca1:nport";
topology
•
Specify the instance name of the Fibre Channel adapter (GP7B8FC1) for
"instance." The instance name is an adapter ID consisting of the driver
name (fjpfca) and connection topology (nport for connection via a switch)
Notes:
1.
Use a colon (:) to link the instance name and connection topology. Also
enclose the instance name and topology in double quotation marks (").
2.
If more than one port is defined, use a comma (,) to separate each
"instance:topology."
3.
Be sure to end the definition with a semicolon (;).
