5) Edit /kernel/drv/st.conf.
6) Reboot the server.
7) Use steps 1) to 6) to make the same settings on other servers.
8) Finally, create a table like the one below, and enter and check the settings.
Server
Instance
name
name
fjpfca0
HOST-A
fjpfca1
Note that the physical path name can be checked using the following command.
# find /dev/pci* -ls | grep "fibre-channel" | grep "devctl"
...
693227 0 crw-r----- 1 root sys
1088442 0 crw-r----- 1 root sys
...
Use this command to search for a physical path whose minor number and instance
number (number added to the instance name) match. The string that appears as a name
becomes a physical path name. (The name includes the string up to "/pci*/fibre-
channel@X, Y" but does not include the string after a colon [:])
To check whether, based on this table, a device is recognized correctly, use the device file
to access the corresponding drive.
The following provides the method for checking.
C144-E073-01EN
Assign a target ID and LUN to each Fibre Channel adapter in fcp-bind-target in the
/kernel/drv/fjpfca.conf file. The LUN definition for each target Fibre Channel
adapter is shown below.
