The Ion Chip Minifuge (Cat. No. 4479672 or 4479673) is used to load sequencing

chips manually for use on Ion PGM
platforms. To accommodate the larger chip size, Ion Proton
sequencer users must:
• install the Ion S5 /Ion Proton
™
• test the minifuge to confirm that no liquid is lost during centrifugation.
before using the minifuge to load chips for the first time.
Note: The following protocols may also be used to convert the Ion Chip
back for use with Ion PGM
