Parameter Setting

2.1.1.9.4 Parameterization via the Parameter Channel

In addition to the direct register access, it is possible to access registers of the
user range via the addresses of the parameter channel.
This type of communication is also used for the configuration of the register
32 for channels 1 and 2 (address 0 and address 1) via GSD.
The mapping of the parameter channel occurs via the registers 56 and 57. The
parameter data is stored word by word in register 56, communication control
(handshake and addressing) is done via register 57.
Access to the addresses of the parameter channel occurs with the same
codeword protection as for the use of register communication. The code word
must be set in register 31.
