RX SETTINGS
Name Description
ECM RX Enable/disable error correction during reception.
RX MODE Set the receive mode. You can also set the receive mode
with the RECEIVE MODE button. See Chapter 7 for more
details.
If you set Fax/Tel Mode, you can select the options below.
NET. SWITCH is only available for Australia and New
Zealand.
If you have set Fax/Tel Mode, set the following options that control how the MultiPASS L60 handles
incoming calls.
RING START TIME Set the duration that the MultiPASS L60 listens for a fax
tone before starting to ring.
F/T RING TIME Set the length of time the MultiPASS L60 will ring to alert
you of an incoming call.
F/T SW ACTION Select the action taken after the F/T RING TIME expires.
INCOMING RING When the MultiPASS L60 is set to FAX ONLY MODE, set
whether the MultiPASS L60 rings when it receives a call.**
RING COUNT Set the number of incoming rings before the MultiPASS L60
answers.
SILENT DETECT Enable/disable whether the MultiPASS L60 automatically
switches to fax receive mode if a period of silence is
detected after answering the call.
DURATION Set the duration of silence the MultiPASS L60 listens for to
determine if a fax is coming in.
MAN/AUTO SWITCH Determine if the MultiPASS L60 switches to document
receive mode after the MultiPASS L60 rings for a specified
time when the MultiPASS L60 is in MANUAL MODE.
RING TIME Set the amount of time the MultiPASS L60 will ring before
switching to document receive mode.
REMOTE RX Allows you to dial a number code on the remote extension
to start receiving a document.
REMOTE RX ID If you set REMOTE RX on, you can change the remote
receiving ID.
MEMORY RX Turn on/off memory receiving of a document.
* Set to NET. SWITCH when using the FaxStream DUET service (Australia only) or the FaxAbility service (New Zealand only).
** Even if you have set INCOMING RING to ON, the MultiPASS L60 will only ring if you have connected the optional
handset or a telephone.

Users in Ireland cannot set the RING COUNT item.
