Error Code
Cause
The MultiPASS L60 image
memory may be full
because the toner
cartridge ran out of toner.
The toner cartridge is
not installed properly.
The front cover is open.

A document is jammed
in the Automatic
Document Feeder (ADF).
The size of the paper in
the multi-purpose tray
differs from that specified
in the PAPER SIZE setting
or the MultiPASS Desktop
Manager.
The toner cartridge in
the MultiPASS L60 is
defective.
The unit is connected to
an uninterruptible power
supply (UPS).

The MultiPASS L60 has
a paper jam.
You tried to use manual
sending via the handset
while the fax was sending
from memory.

It took more than 32
minutes to send or copy
a document.
Action
Replace the toner
cartridge and have the
other party send the fax
again.
Make sure the toner
cartridge is installed
properly. See page 2-29.
Close the front cover.
Remove the document
you are trying to send or
copy and load it again.
Set the correct paper size
in the PAPER SIZE
setting. See pages 13-12
and 13-13. You can also
set the correct paper size
from the MultiPASS
Desktop Manager. See
the MultiPASS Desktop
Manager User's Guide.
1. Reinstall the cartridge.
2. Unplug the MultiPASS
L60, wait five seconds,
then plug it in again. If
the display does not
change, call for service.
Make sure the power cord
is plugged into an AC
outlet.
Clear the jam. If a
document was received in
memory, the unit prints
the received documents
from memory.
Wait until the fax is sent
and try again, or use
memory sending.
Divide the document and
send or copy each part
separately.
