Using AT&TCall

Entering Telephone Numbers in a Card

When entering telephone numbers in an AT&TCall card, you must first specify
whether the telephone number is an intercom number. Every telephone
number field contains an ICOM/OUT button that toggles between intercom and
outside phone numbers.
You can enter both numbers (for example, 0-9) and alphabetic characters (for
example, A-Z) in the telephone number field of a card. For example, suppose
a restaurant has the phone number 555-RIBS (which is 555-7427). Instead of
typing all seven numbers in the phone number field for this card, you can enter
555-RIBS. When AT&TCall places a call to this phone number, it converts the
alphabetic characters to numbers.
To enter an intercom number:
1.
In the Edit Card or New Card window, click on the ICOM/OUT button in
the telephone number field in which you are interested.
The word "icom" is displayed in the telephone number field.
2.
Click the mouse in the field and enter the intercom number.
To enter an outside phone number:
1.
In the Edit Card or New Card window, make sure that the word "icom" is
not displayed in the telephone number field in which you are interested.
If "icom" is present click on the ICOM/OUT button in the field.
2.
Click the mouse in the field and enter the phone number.
