The following steps show the sequence to replace an assembly in an HP 8753D Option 011
Network Analyzer.
1. Identify the faulty group. efer to Chapter 4, \Start Troubleshooting Here." Follow up
with the appropriate troubleshooting chapter that identi es the faulty assembly.
2. Order a replacement assembly. efer to Chapter 13, \ eplaceable Parts."
3. eplace the faulty assembly and determine what adjustments are necessary. efer to
Chapter 14, \Assembly eplacement and Post- epair Procedures."
4. Perform the necessary adjustments. efer to Chapter 3, \Adjustments and Correction
Constants."
5. Perform the necessary performance tests. efer to Chapter 2, \System Veri cation and
Performance Tests."

The opening of covers or removal of parts is likely to expose dangerous
voltages. isconnect the instrument from all voltage sources while it is being
opened.

10 seconds after disconnecting the plug from its power supply.

ESD (electrostatic discharge). Perform the following procedures only at a
static-safe workstation and wear a grounding strap.
