LDRUM Calculation Example
Assumptions
1)
The yarn used by the customer is a silk 21 deniers (Title).
2)
The customer usually produces bobbins of 1000 grams (P1)
Calculations
1)
Set LDRUM = 1000 (Menu POSITION SET)
2)
Set TARGET = 999.999 (Menu STYLE EDIT)
3)
Produce a 1000 g bobbin, confirming the weight with a precision scale, taking into account the weight
of bobbin core (cone, spool)
4)
Read the sensor's counter value (Menu GRAPHICS); let's suppose that the value read is CNT
189,000 (sensors stroke counter)
5)
Using the appropriate conversion formula, obtain the length in meters corresponding to 1000 g of silk,
21 deniers.
Meters_Weight
6)
Now we can calculate the LDRUM value using the following formula:
LDRUM
= 1000*Meters_Weight
i
7)
At this point we can set the correct LDRUM and TARGET values and confirm through the bobbin
weight if the setting is correct.
8)
Small differences between one position and another can be adjusted using the KANTIP parameter.

9000* P
= 9000*1000 = 428571 [meters]
