1.6.2 Connecting laser- and monitor diode

Connect laser and monitor diode to the connector of the ITC8xxx.
The wires for voltage measurement of the laser diode (pin 6 and pin 9) should be
connected as close as possible to the laser diode to avoid measurement errors.
The ground conductor of the monitor diode (pin 2) may be connected to the ground
conductor of the laser diode (pin 3). If this is necessary (e.g. with laser diodes with
integrated monitor diode and shared ground connector) the ground conductors
should be connected as close as possible to the laser diode to avoid measurement
errors when measuring the monitor diode current.
In this case the following pin assignments of the output jack are possible:
