SEAT BELTS
BEECHCRAFT Sport III
Musketeer A23-19, 19A
Ali seats are provided with seat belts having a
lever-action,
quick-release, metal buckle. The seat belt length
is
ad
-
justable.
Holding the buckle at a right angle to the belt re-
leases the binding action, allowing the belt to slip
.
SHOULDER HARNESS INSTALLATION
The shoulder harness installation is available for the pilot
seats
only.
The belt
is
in the
"Y"
configuration with the
single strap being contained in an inertia reel attached to
the overhead canopy structure of the cockpit. The two
straps are worn wit h one strap over each shoulder and fas-
tened by metal loops into the seat belt buckle
.
The har-
ness should be used with the seatsin the upright position.
The spring loading at the inertia reel keeps the harness
snug but will allow normai movement required during
flight operations. The inertia reel is designed with a locking
device that will secure the harness in the event of sudden
forward movement or an impact action
.
DOORS AND EXITS
FORWARD CABIN DOORS
The airplane has a conventional cabin door on the right
side (a n optional left hand door was available) of the fuse-
lage adjacent to the forward
seats.
The outside cabin door
handle is spring-loaded to fit into a recess in the
door.
The
door may be locked with a key
.
To open the door from the
outside,
lift
the handle from its recess and pull until the
door opens
.
To close the cabin door from the inside, grasp
