ELECTRlCAL SYSTEM
BEECHCRAFT Sport III
Musketeer A23-19

The system circuitry is the single-wire
,
ground-return
type,
with the airplane structure used as the ground return. The
BADERY
&
ALT, ALT,
FUEL
BOOST,
and
magneto/
start
switches are located on the left subpanel. The circuit
breaker panel
,
located on the right subpanel
,
contains the
protective circuit-breakers for the various electrical sys
-
tems
.
Some switch-type circuit breakers a re located on the
left subpanel.
BADERY
A 12-volt battery is located in the aft fuselage
.

servicing procedures are described in the HANDLING
,
SERVICING AND MAINTENANCE Section
.
ALTERNATOR
The alternator maintains its full -rated output at cruise
engine rpm, and uses a voltage regulator to adjust
alternator output.
Dual switches are required to activate the alternator
circuit. The switch placarded BADERY
&
ALT,
when
placed in the ON position, will only activate the battery
circuit.
When t his switch is on and the Al T switch i s
placed in the ON position
,
the alte rnator is excited by
power from the airplane battery. When the BADERY &
ALT switch is in the OFF position
,
the alternator will be off
regardless of the ALT switch position.
