EMERGENCY STATIC AIR SYSTEM
(OPTIONAL)
An alternate (emergencyj static air source may be
installed
to provide air for instrument operation should the normai
static ports become blocked
.
The alternate source
is
installed on the pilot's lower left sidewall. Turning the red
handle to the ON EMERGENCY position allows cabin air
into the system
.
Refer to EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
section for proper use of the system
.

VACUUM SYSTEM
Vacuum for air -driven gyroscopic flight instruments and
other air-driven equipment
is
supplied by a n engine-driven
vacuum pump
.
An adjustable relief valve centrols suction
by bleed
i
ng outside air into the vacuum pump
.
A suction gage indicates system vacuum in inches
ot
mer-
cury
.
This instrument is located on the pilot's side
ot
the
instrument panel. The vacuum should be maintained
within the green arc for proper operation of the air-driven
instruments.
STALL WARNING SYSTEM
A stall warning horn located
in
the overhead speaker eon-
sole is tactory set to sound a warning 5 to 7 mph above a
stall condition and continues steadily as the airplane ap
-
proaches a complete stall
.
The stall warning
horn,
triggered by a sensing vane on the leading edge
ot
the left
wing, is equally effective in all flight configurations and at
all weights.
