Personnel qualification

The minimum age for personnel is 18 years.
The personnel has to know and understand the interactions with the higher level machine/system and any other
machine/system parts.
The personnel has to be familiar with the regulations on health and safety and accident prevention.
Instructed personnel
Instructed personnel for the control unit are persons who have been instructed in the correct use of the control unit.
In addition, instructed personnel know the hazards resulting from inexpert use. In particular, the personnel have to
be instructed about the safety devices.
Personnel who have been instructed only in the loading of the overall system do not have suf-
ficient knowledge to make settings and queries directly on the control unit. They consequently do
not require direct access to the polarity reversal control unit in the control cabinet and can accordingly only carry
out operating tasks using the externally accessible control elements.
Operating personnel
The control unit/software may only be operated by trained or instructed personnel. We recommend having person-
nel trained by SAV GmbH. Operating personnel have to be capable of reading and understanding the information
on the device display and acting accordingly.
Operating personnel have to have received task-related training with regard to the partial functions of the overall
system.

Operation of the control unit can e.g. result in heavy loads being released
and falling, causing crushing or injuries from falling parts!
Do not make modifications to the system which are unauthorised by the

Do not make changes to the electrical system which are unauthorised by

Do not make changes to the controller, evaluation and software without

the manufacturer's approval.
Do not deactivate safety devices.

Do not operate or actuate the control unit if no suitable safety guards are

fitted at the system interfaces.
Do not operate or actuate the control unit if safety devices were dam-
■
aged through external influence.
Do not operate or actuate the control unit if maintenance intervals or
■
maintenance tasks were neglected.
Only use certified spare parts!
