Dynamically setting the setup

The control unit has a function which permits dynamically changing a setup during operation via the interface,
while the clamping/release process is not in progress,
The standard factory settings include a free setup (setup no. 0). The control unit can manage up to 100 setups
(setup no. 0 -99). This is enabled by SAV GmbH.
WARNING!
The setup change is executed as follows:
1. The number of the desired setup has to be applied in hexadecimal format
(e.g. setup 10; 0h0A  In7-In1 00001010) on pins In0 – In7 (pins 27-34).
2. The setup change is executed with a high impulse on the "Adopt command" (pin 35) with a width of 0.5 – 2.5 s.
3. Execution of the command is confirmed with an approx. 3 – 4 s long impulse on "Acknowledge" (pin 36).
4. Pins Out0 - Out7 (pins 19-26) can be used to read back the actually set setup.

Firmware update

The firmware can only be updated by an SAV service engineer.
Version 1.0
Risk of injury and risk of damage to the machine!
An incorrectly selected setup can result in injuries or damage to the machine
into which the control unit is installed.
During a setup change, all magnetising and demagnetising curves are
switched. This means the control unit can issue an enable in case of an
incorrectly assumed minimum holding force. It is absolutely necessary to
use pins Out0 - Out7 (pins 19-26) to check after a setup change whether
the correct setup has actually been set.
