Purpose of the control unit

WARNING!
The device is intended for installation as a component in a control cabinet. Neither the magnet nor the machine are
part of these instructions.
The control unit is controlled via the control interface.
The magnets are not part of the control units and have to be procured separately.
2.3

Intended use

The control unit is used for actuating strong electric permanent magnets. It is used, for example, in mechanical engi-
neering, in the field of machining. The workpieces are clamped on electric permanent magnet plated for machining
and then demagnetised (released) after machining.
WARNING!
The control unit is a device which was designed in line with the rules of functional safety and can be installed in
machines or systems.
Risk of electric shock!
The device is operated with electric current.
An electric shock can cause death or serious injury.
The device must be used in accordance with the ambient conditions and
work instructions listed in these operating instructions to prevent any risk
from electric shock.
Disconnecting electrical connections can result in extremely serious injury
or death. High-voltage sparks can occur in particular when breaking the
current connection of inductive loads.
Before connecting or disconnecting, always switch mains voltage free
from potential.
Risk of fire and risk of damage tot he magnet or machine!
There is a risk of overheating if not used as intended in combination with
third-party products.
The control unit is intended exclusively for operating electric permanent
magnets from SAV GmbH.
Risk of electric shock!
Moisture, dirt or excess temperatures can lead to short circuits or body
