About Combining Peak Detection Options
The Union and Intersection icons allow you to combine peak detection methods. If you have programmed both peak
detection methods this setting will determine whether both or any one of the peak conditions must be true. Refer to
the diagrams below for a comparison.
Intersection (AND)
The fraction collector cuts peaks 2 and 3
where the input signal exceeds the
threshold value and a slope is determined
by the peak width setting.
Union (OR)
The fraction collector cuts peaks 1
through 4 wherever the input signal
exceeds the threshold value or a slope is
determined by the peak width setting.
Foxy
using only peak width detection, select this Union
option.
Touch the icon to toggle the selection.
Note
If you are using only peak width detection, select either the
Union (OR) or Intersection (AND) option. Ensure that the
threshold detection is set to None.
5. Touch the Enter icon to return to the Method Settings
menu.
