4. Water connection
4.1
Water inlet
Water connection position, see point (A, B)
in connection plan.
A water flow plan can be found on the
inside of the motor cover.
Unit must be connected to a cold water

supply of drinking water quality. Note
label on water inlet.
Find information on water quality and
water hardness at your local water
supply company.
Before carrying out the water
connection, rinse the customer's water
line.
Customer is to install a stop valve (Y)
with drain sieve.

Water pressure (flow pressure) must be
min. 200 kPa (2bar) and max. 600 kPa
(6bar). For combi steamers with
automatic cleaning (CONVOClean
system) flow pressure should be min.
300 kPa (3bar).
Water connection using ½" pressure
hose with ¾" threaded joint. Assemble
drain sieve!

If the redox potential of the water
exceeds 300 mV at a chlorine
concentration (Cl

Instruct the user that the filter cleaning
intervals must be maintained.
If the chlorine value (Cl) is exceeded or
for the combi steamer OEB/OGB the
water hardness is > 18° dH (33° fH; 23°
eH; 320 ppm (USA)), a hydrogen ionic
exchanger (V) is recommended.
For combi steamer OES/OGS a
hydrogen ionic exchanger (V) is
absolutely essential (partial
desalinization system i.e. from the
company Brita) if the water hardness is
> 7° dH (13° fH; 8.8° eH; 125 ppm
(USA)).
Attention: On all units, note the
residual hardness of the
demineralized water after the
softening:
Drinking water quality
