A power cable is supplied with your CS/3000 series server. If the power
cable does not match your requirements, contact your network supplier.
WARNING: Powering on the server without a blanking plate or module in
each slot or without a cover can cause overheating and fire hazard. The
warranty is void if this occurs.
To attach the power cable, follow these steps:
1 Make sure that the AC power switch is in the O or off position.
2 Attach the power cable to the receptacle on the back panel.
3 Plug the other end of the power cable into an AC power source.
The AC power source must meet the requirements outlined in
"Specifications". The server must be connected to its AC power source with
a grounded line cord to meet safety requirements.
The CS/3000 series server's firmware is preset at the factory for basic
installations; in most cases you do not need to reconfigure it.
If you want to customize your server's operation, you may need to modify
the default settings of certain firmware parameters. You can access these
parameters through the monitor utility. For information on firmware
configuration and the monitor utility, refer to Chapter 4, "Configuration,"
and Appendix C, "Monitor Utility."
