The * character in a regular expression is not the familiar "wildcard"
character that matches any string.
A * character that appears in a regular expression is interpreted in its
correct regular expression sense: it matches any number (or none) of
the single character that immediately precedes it.
For example, the single line:
Enter server name pattern {?} [*]: us(nt)*
actually contains two entirely different * characters. The first * is the
default prompt for "everything" with * in its wildcard sense. The
second * is a regular expression pattern-matching character to match
any number (or none) of the preceding "nt" expression.
In the QoS and RSVP chapter of the Switch 4007 Implementation Guide:
Now that the 10-port 100BASE-FX Multilayer Switching Module has been
added to the Switch 4007 product line, the following paragraph should
be added to the last point in the "General Guidelines" subsection of the
"Key Guidelines for Implementation" section:
The 10-port 100BASE-FX Fast Ethernet Multilayer Switching Module
(Model Number 3CB9RF10MC) allows aggregation on ports 1-3, 4-5,
6-8, and 9-10. Be aware that if you set the rate limit on different
ports, for example, 1, 6, and 9, then aggregate functions the same as
receivePort rate limit type.
In the Management Tools chapter of the Switch 4007 Getting Started
Guide:
The information for Web Management should include some additional
notes and some filename changes:
This notice should appear at the beginning of the "Windows
Installation" section:
If you use Netscape as your browser, you must install the Help files on an
external server, not on a local PC. To install the Help files on an external
server, follow the instructions for installing on a PC.
To configure the location of the Help files, use the sample URL syntax in
the Help Server Configuration form in the software.
