Upgrading Two
EME Modules

NSTALLATION
For a chassis with two EME modules installed, upgrade the software
images according to this procedure:
This is an overview procedure. Each step leads you to a set of specific
instructions elsewhere in this chapter. After you complete a set of
instructions, return to this procedure and go to the next step.
1 At the EME interface prompt, enter
which EME module is on Master/Primary status and which is on
Slave/Secondary status.
For an explanation of these terms, refer to the section "Terminology for
the EME Module" earlier in this chapter.
2 Upgrade the software on the Slave/Secondary EME module.
Note the slot number of this module. You will use it in some substeps.
a Install EMC boot software, version 2.1. For instructions, see "Installing
EMC Boot Software" later in this chapter. (Do not reinstall it if this
version already exists on your module.) After the module finishes
resetting, go to the next step.
b Install EMC operational software, version 3.0.0. For instructions, see
"Installing EMC Operational Software" later in this chapter. (Do not
reinstall it if this version already exists on your module.) After the
module finishes resetting, go to the next step.
c Install EME boot software, version 3.0.0. For instructions, see
"Installing EME Boot Software" later in this chapter. (Do not reinstall it
if this version already exists on your module.) After the module
finishes resetting, go to the next step.
d Install EME operational software, version 3.0.5. For instructions, see
"Installing EME Operational Software" later in this chapter. After the
module finishes resetting, go to the next step.
3 Upgrade the software on the Master/Primary EME module.
