This feature allows calls to be held while attending to other matters and then be picked up
again. Held calls can be picked up only at the voice terminal that put the call on hold or at a
voice terminal that shares the same held line. A held party on an outside line will receive
Music-on-Hold, if available.
On multiline voice terminals, users can place as many calls on hold as there are call
appearances, and can hang up without losing held calls. On single-line voice terminals, only
one call can be placed on hold, and the user must remain off-hook or the call will be lost.
