When
the light
is very weak
,
especially
when you
ha
ve
to
u
se
a small
stop,
even
the slowest
sh utter speed
may be
too
short.
In that case, you need time
ex-
posure.
Set the Ring to
B
and
press
the
release button
The shutter now
re-
mains open over the
dura
tion
the shutter
release button
is depressed
For
such
time
exposures, the camera must be mount-
ed
on a
firm
support such
as a tripod.
When
usin
g
the slower
sh utter
speeds than
1/
30 sec. or
Bulb
setting, the camera must
be mounted on a firm base
such as a
tripod.
Also
,
it
is
safest
to
release
the
shutter
with
the help
of
a
cable
relea
se
to
avoid shaking the
camera.
This releas
e
screws into the
socket provided
in the
release button.
