2.6.6 Drive shaft rotation

The drive shaft rotates counterclockwise when viewed from the top
looking down. The DS 300 is designed to mix in this direction only.

2.6.7 Controlling agitation

Agitation is controlled with the handheld control device as described
in the following steps.
1. To supply power to the handheld control device, turn the On/Off
knob to the "On" position. The motor speed will be displayed in
rpm. CAUTION: Carefully turn the knob on the handheld control
device to the "On" position. Before turning the motor on, turn the
motor rpm knob all the way to the left to start the motor at the
lowest speed.
2. Turn the motor rpm knob to increase or decrease the rate the
impeller is spinning (mixing speed). The total mixing speed range
is 30–355 rpm and is displayed on the screen of the handheld
control device (Figure 2.34). Note: In the event of an emergency,
use the red E-Stop button on the top of the handheld control
device to shut off power to the motor and handheld control
device.
