Check and Adjust Choke Cable
1. Park and prepare machine for service. See "Prepare
Equipment for Service" on page 1-13.
2. Position choke in the up (on) position.

CAUTION
!
Do not adjust the governor setting or the
carburetor setting to increase the engine speed.
Every carburetor is adjusted at the factory and a
cap or stop plate is installed on each mixture
screw. If any adjustment is necessary, it must
be performed by an authorized Kawasaki
Engine dealer.
3. Loosen fastener (1).
4. Remove slack from choke cable (2).
5. Tighten fastener.
6. Open and close choke to verify that the carburetor
choke valve (3) opens and closes completely.

Adjust Controls for Neutral
1. In an open, flat area start engine and run at high idle.
2. Move control levers to the neutral position.
3. If machine drifts, stop engine.
4. Park and prepare machine for service. See "Prepare
Equipment for Service" on page 1-13.
5. Remove pin (1) and adjust control rod (2) as needed.
6. Rotate adjuster (3) counterclockwise to move control
handle forward or clockwise to move control handle
rearward.
7. Install pin and repeat steps 1–6 until machine does
not move in the neutral position.
