REPAIR

Remove and Install Brake Cables

Removal

1. Park and prepare machine for service. See "Prepare
Equipment for Service" on page 1-13.
2. Raise machine and support with appropriate stands.
3. Remove wheel.
4. Place control lever in the neutral position.

5. Remove nuts (1), spacer (2), and spring (3).

6. Remove clip (4), washer (5), spring (6), and brake
cable (7).
7. Clean and inspect brake cable. Repair or replace as
necessary.

Installation

Installation is done in reverse order of removal.
• Adjust brake cable. See "Adjust Brakes" on
page 4-10.

Removal

5. Remove fasteners (5) and brake caliper (6).
6. Clean and inspect brake caliper. Replace as
necessary.

Installation

Installation is done in reverse order of removal.
