Spark Test

Figure 6-17
1. Remove spark plug.
2. Set multimeter to ohms.
3. Connect meter lead to one end of spark plug.
4. Connect other meter lead to the other end of spark
plug.
5. Check for continuity. If continuity is shown, spark
plug is good.

Fuse Test

Figure 6-18
1. Remove fuse.
2. Set multimeter to ohms.
3. Connect meter lead to fuse terminal.
4. Connect other meter lead to the other fuse terminal.
5. Check for continuity. If continuity is shown, fuse is
good.
Z400 Series

Diode Test

HUS1079
1. Remove diode.
2. Set multimeter to ohms.
3. Connect the red lead from the meter to diode
terminal 1.
4. Connect the black lead from the meter to diode
terminal 2 and check for continuity.
5. Connect the red lead from the meter to diode
terminal 2.
6. Connect the black lead from the meter to diode
HUS1080
terminal 1 and check for continuity.
7. If continuity was shown on one check and not the
other, the diode is good.
8. If continuity was shown in both checks or if no
continuity was shown in either check, replace the
diode.
