1. Remove relay.
2. Set multimeter to ohms.
3. With relay de-energized, connect the meter lead to
relay terminal 30.
4. Connect the other meter lead to relay terminal 87
and check for continuity. If continuity is shown,
replace relay.

5. Connect the meter lead to relay terminal 30.
6. Connect the other meter lead to relay terminal 87a
and check for continuity. If continuity is shown, relay
is good.
7. Ground relay at terminal 85.

8. Apply voltage to relay at terminal 86.
9. Connect the meter lead to relay terminal 30.
10. Connect the meter lead to relay terminal 87 and
check for continuity. If continuity is shown, relay is
good.
11. With relay still energized, connect the meter lead to
relay terminal 30.

12. Connect the other meter lead to relay terminal 87a
and check for continuity. If continuity is shown,
replace relay.
