The levels in the bed indicate whether the bed is in a
horizontal position. This is important when using the
integrated infant scale (see page 112).
If the levels are damaged:
Take unit out of service.
Check the height adjustment mechanism*
Press both foot pedals in succession to raise and lower
Caleo (see page 47).
After the test, adjust to a comfortable working height.
When adjusting the height, the entire Caleo bassinet must lift
up and down smoothly, otherwise:
Take unit out of service.
Check line power failure alarm
Disconnect unit from line power.

The power failure LED should start blinking.
An intermittent audible alarm should start. Its volume must
remain constant for at least 30 seconds.
If the volume decreases too soon:
Leave incubator connected to power and switched on for
24 hours to recharge the NiCd battery of the power failure
alarm.
Repeat check.
If the volume decreases again too soon:
Take unit out of service.
