Z2: NC/PLC interface signals
19.4 Manual and handwheel travel
DB21, ...
DBB37
Bit 0-2
Contour handwheel active (1 to 3)
Edge evaluation: No
Signal state 1 or
These PLC interface signals report whether this geometry axis is assigned to contour handwheel 1,
edge change 0 → 1
2 or 3 or to no contour handwheel.
Only one contour handwheel can be assigned to an axis at any one time.
If several interface signals:
DB21, ... DBB30.0-3 (Activate contour handwheel)
are set, priority "Contour handwheel 1" before "Contour handwheel 2" before "Contour handwheel
3" applies.
If the assignment is active, the geometry axis can be traversed in JOG mode with the contour
handwheel or a DRF offset can be generated in AUTOMATIC or MDA modes.
Signal state 0 or
Neither contour handwheel 1, 2 nor 3 is assigned to this geometry axis.
edge change 1 → 0
DB21, ...
DBB40, 46, 52
Bit 0-2
Handwheel active (1 to 3) for geometry axis
Edge evaluation: No
Signal state 1 or
These PLC interface signals report whether this geometry axis is assigned to handwheel 1, 2 or 3
edge change 0 → 1
or to no handwheel.
Only one handwheel can be assigned to an axis at any one time.
If several interface signals:
DB21, ... DBX12.1-3; 16.1-3; 20.1-3 (Activate handwheel)
are set, priority "Handwheel 1" before "Handwheel 2" before "Handwheel 3" applies.
If the assignment is active, the geometry axis can be traversed in JOG mode with the handwheel or
a DRF offset can be generated in AUTOMATIC or MDA modes.
Signal state 0 or
Neither handwheel 1, 2 nor 3 is assigned to this geometry axis.
edge change 1 → 0
Corresponding to ....
DB21, ... DBX12.0-12.2 ff (activate handwheel)
DB21, ...
DBB40, 46, 52
Bit 5, 4
Plus and minus traversing request (for geometry axis)
Edge evaluation: No
The signal is the same as the travel command signal in the earlier version.
Signal state 1 or
edge change 0 → 1
1046
Signal(s) updated: Cyclically
Signal(s) updated: Cyclically
Signal(s) updated: Cyclically
JOG mode:
With the plus or minus traverse key.
REF mode:
With the traverse key that takes the axis to the reference point.
AUT/MDA mode:
A program block containing a coordinate value for the axis in question is executed.
