deactivated

IftheDynamicStabilityControl(DSC)isperforminganadjustment

Iftheseatbeltisunfastenedandthedriver'sdoorisopenedinastationaryvehicle
•
Ifthesystemhasnotdetectedanobjectforalongtime,e.g.onrarelyfrequented
sectionsofroadwithnodistinctedge
•
Ifthedetectionrangeoftheradarisimpaired,e.g.duetocontaminationorheavyprecipitation
•
Followingalongerimmobilizationperiod,ifthevehiclehasbeendeceleratedtoastandstill
byACCStop&Go.
Thesetspeedisindicatedintheinstrumentclusterinthefamiliarway;byamarkthatmovesround
thespeedreading.IfACC Stop&Goisactivated,thismarkisgreen,whereasin"Standby"modeitis
greyandthelastsetspeedisdisplayed.AftertheACC Stop&Gofunctionisactivatedorafterthedriver
hasadjustedthesetspeed,thecurrentdigitalvalueisdisplayed.Ifthedistanceischanged,asymbol
appearsbrieflyasanacknowledgement.Thesymbolscreenmasksareforexamplethesetspeedand
thedistancebar.Witheachsubsequentoperationthedisplayisshownforanotherthreeseconds.
Thedistancessetbythedriver,aswellasthedistancestoanyvehiclesdrivingahead,thatmustbe
maintainedtoensureasafedistancearedisplayedbetweenthetworoundinstruments(speedreading
andenginespeeddisplay).ThedistancesettingisstoredfortheIDtransmittercurrentlybeingused.
LikeforDCC,itisalsonecessarythatthesymbolscreenmasksarecomplementedifnecessarywith
notesintheinstrumentclusterforACCStop&Go.
WithactivecontrolthedisplaysarealsoshownintheHead‐UpDisplay(optionalequipmentOE610).
Ifthesystemcannolongeradjustasafedistance,forexampleduetoveryhighdifferentialspeeds,
thenthedriverispromptedtotakeoverthevehiclehandlingbyaflashingredvehiclesymbolandan
acousticsignal.
