19.2.3.Operation
Thedriverhastheoptionofadjustingthesetspeedinsmallorlargeincrements,whichisthensetand
maintainedbythesystembycontrollingthedriveandbrakes.Itcanbechangedusingtheleft-hand
switchblockonthemultifunctionsteeringwheel(MFL).Thespeedisincreasedorreducedby1 km/
hbytappingtherockerswitch.Eachtimetherockerbuttonispressedbeyondthepressurepoint,the
speedincreasesorreducesby10 km/h.TheDCCsteadilymaintainsaselectedspeedfromabout
30 km/h.
ThesetspeedisindicatedintheinstrumentclusterKOMBIinthefamiliarway;byamarkthatmoves
roundthespeedreading.Notesareaddedtothedisplaysintheinstrumentclusterifnecessary.
Ifthevehicle'sowndecelerationisnotsufficienttomaintainthepresetspeed,thebrakeisactivated
accordingly.
Theadjustmentrangeforthesetspeedislimitedtoamaximumof210 km/h.
IfECOPROorSPORTmodeisactivated,thecruisecontrolisalsosettoafuel-efficientorsporty
drivingstyle.Duetothefuel-efficientdrivingstyleinECO PROdrivingmode,insomesituationsthe
vehicle'sspeedmayexceedordropbelowthesetspeed,forexampleondownhillgradientsorinclines.
